We are a faith-based non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established for the purpose of providing one time/temporary assistance to qualifying* Davie County residents in time of crisis.

• We connect people with need-based community resources and services

• We offer educational and personal guidance

• We teach life skills and foster self sufficiency

• We promote programs to lift people out of poverty

The Advocacy Center began as a joint effort between the First Presbyterian and Second Presbyterian Churches in Mocksville.  It was incorporated on December 26, 2006 and began to serve the community in 2007.  Its mission is to work together with local churches and public and private agencies to help individuals and families temporarily in need of a helping hand.  As more support becomes available the Advocacy Center will look to partner with these same agencies to design programs that help lift people out of poverty not just provide short-term assistance.
